Climate Governance Initiative submits public response on draft Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework

The Climate Governance Initiative has submitted a public comment letter on the fourth (v0.4) and final draft of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework.

The Climate Governance Initiative recognises the intrinsic links between climate and nature and that addressing the crises they both face is essential to support a planet fit for future generations. The Initiative acknowledges the important role of business, and the boards that lead their companies, in moving towards a nature-positive world and the need for nature to be included in business strategies.

The Chapters of the Climate Governance Initiative have collectively responded to this consultation, giving our strong support to the TNFD Secretariat for taking the lead in setting a global standard on nature-related disclosures.

Ahead of the incoming TNFD framework in September, the Climate Governance Initiative has produced a briefing to provide guidance to board directors on how to prepare:

How can board directors prepare for the upcoming Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework release?

As stewards of their organisations, board directors will benefit from understanding the TNFD framework ahead of its official launch in September 2023, and its implications for the organisations they represent.
